The Buffalo Fire Historical Society exhibits their
Volunteer Era collection, select items pre-dating 1910, and subsequent items to be added at the
discretion of the Society, through a maintainable digital library for the benefit of current and future
users. The scope of the digital library
augments the existing knowledge of fire service
professionals, their families, enthusiasts, and
educators, and also introduces fire service
history to new groups of users. The purposes of
the digital library are to inform and engage users
by providing general historical information on
firefighting and highlighting
the unique contributions and collections of Buffalo fire service professionals. |
